Tasting notes
The 2020 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills Vineyard showed well, offering a gamey, complex nose of red and black fruits, flowers, and spice, with a distinct salty minerality and salinity on the palate and finish. Nicely textured, medium-bodied, and balanced, this will drink well and evolve for at least 7-8 years. I surprisingly found a few of these latest Pinot Noirs from Foxen to be muddled and overtly earthy. Nevertheless, it’s big lineup of wines and there’s lot to like and choose from.

The 2020 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills Vineyard is laced with sweet red cherry fruit, spice, mint and dried herbs. Readers will find a relatively forward expression of Solomon Hills. I would prefer to drink this mid-weight Pinot over the next handful of years.
