2012 Revana Family Alexana Pinot Noir Signature

The 2012 Pinot Noir Signature was picked September 28 - October 14 and comes from the Revana Vineyard in the Dundee Hills. Matured in 38% new oak, it has a ripe blackberry and dark plum bouquet that is quite upfront and bold, but manages to maintain its delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with candied black and red berry fruit, boysenberry jam and a powdery finish that is just a little dry for my liking. Not bad overall though.
