Score 88/100 · Drink 2001-2007, Robert Parker, Oct 2001
A blend of 90% Zinfandel and the rest Petite Sirah and Carignan, the dark ruby/purple-colored 1999 Zinfandel Paso Robles displays aromas of sandalwood, pepper, and black cherries. In the mouth, it is medium to full-bodied, straightforward, and monolithic, without a great deal of complexity, but with good weight, fruit, and extract. It should drink well for 4-6 years. Tel.
