Score 92/100 · Drink 2014-2024, Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, Dec 2012

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Maestro Collection Beaulieu No. 1 boasts gorgeous, depth and power. Sweet mocha, tobacco, incense and black fruit meld together in this highly expressive, nuanced wine. Darker notes of mint, smoke and licorice add complexity on the firm finish. Ideally the 2009 could use another year or two in bottle, but it is very appealing, even today. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. Beaulieu Vineyard fans will find plenty of delicious wines among these current releases. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to retaste the 2009 and 2010 Georges de Latour Private Reserves. Tel.
