Tasting notes
Sweet, ripe, rich, and elegant is the 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Marjorie's Twilight. It exhibits a saturated ruby/purple color, in addition to pure cassis fruit intermixed with minerals and toasty oak. The wine is ripe, yet restrained. It is made from 35-40 year old Cabernet vines and should turn out to be outstanding. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2020. (Not yet released) Tel. Medium ruby. Bright aromas of black cherry, licorice and eucalyptus. Lush, layered, deep flavors of cassis, minerals and mint. The deepest cabernet of the tasting to this point. The tannins coat the mouth and teeth. Very long on the finish.
