Score 91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2014
(14.4% alcohol): Full medium red. Slightly high-toned aromas of strawberry, plum, mocha, spices and woodsmoke. Sappy and nicely concentrated, with lovely lift to the flavors of red berries, black tea and spices; I like the savory peppery influence of the whole-cluster vinification. Finishes with ripe, dusty tannins, subtle spice and earth tones and good peppery energy and grip. A very good 2011 pinot, but I'd wait a year or two before pulling the cork.
