2006 Merry Edwards Pinot Noir Flax Vineyard

Medium red. Blackberry and licorice on the nose, with slow-building cocoa and dried flowers. Chewy dark fruit flavors show good depth and are framed by dusty tannins. The finish repeats the blackberry note and leaves a bitter cherry pit quality behind. This needs a strongly seasoned piece of red meat.
