Tasting notes
(16% alcohol) Saturated ruby. Brooding aromas of black fruits, pepper, mocha, truffle and tree bark. Fat, thick, full and sweet; a powerful wine with impressive volume and huge black fruit flavors. Finishes very long, with thoroughly ripe tannins.

The 2006 Petite Sirah Pesenti is one of the great ones I tasted in this vintage. Inky bluish/purple to the rim with notes of camphor, incense, blueberry, blackberry, crushed rocks, and acacia flowers, this wine is pure, rich, full-bodied, and massively endowed. Give it 4-5 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 20-25 years. (Not yet released) Tel. (707) 963-0940; Fax (707) 963-8683
