Tasting notes
(100% cabernet sauvignon; just bottled) Saturated, deep ruby. Roasted black fruits, licorice and bitter chocolate on the nose; porty in a positive way. Then impressively intense and juicy, with powerfulflavors of blackberry, black raspberry, licorice, violet and bitter chocolate. Lovely acidity gives definition to this powerful but fine-grained wine. Boasts terrific intensity and finishing fruit. Finishes with broad, huge but fine tannins and noteworthy persistence. This distinctly bold cabernet carries about 16% alcohol.

About the producer

L’Aventure is one of the leading wine estates in Paso Robles, California. It was founded by Stephan Asseo and his wife Beatrice who left their native France in 1997 in search of a place to make wine without the restrictions of France’s appellation system.
