Argot produces a bevy of Pinot Noirs, but they are all relatively limited in production, so I’ll keep my notes short. The 2013 Pinot Noir Madras Steiner Vineyard comes from ten different clones and spent 16 months in neutral French oak. The wine reveals some minerality along with sassafras, damp earth, and sweet and sour cherries. The whole clusters certainly give it a certain herbaceousness and spiciness. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
