(North Berkeley bottling; unfined and unfiltered) Good pale color. Reticent aromas of peach and hazelnut; less expressive than the "regular" cuvee Sweet but reserved in the mouth, with less obvious fruit and spice showing today but an impression of greater intensity and underlying structure. More impressive on the persistent back end, finishing with classically dry flavors of peach and nuts.

Purer, deeper, more mineral-driven nose. Dense, ripe and sweet, with ripe acids giving shape to the flavors of orange, pineapple and stone. A step up in intensity from the foregoing samples. Finishes with very good length.
