Tasting notes
The 2021 En Gobelet is an understated beauty as rose petals and violet-inflected dried black cherries are complicated by hints of cedary spice. Silky and round, it opens with pretty inner sweetness and masses of rich red and blue-toned fruits that cascade over a core of saline minerals, all energized by juicy acidity. It finishes perfumed and structured with primary concentration and fine-grained tannins. Glorious. En Gobelet is a blend of 39% Grenache, 29% Mourvèdre, 16% Syrah, 11% Counoise and 5% Tannat. This is beautiful today but may get even better through further cellaring.

The 2021 En Gobelet is a blend of 39% Grenache, 29% Mourvèdre, 16% Syrah, 11% Counoise and 5% Tannat. It's a touch muted on the nose from its recent bottling and takes time to reveal sour cherries, tobacco, licorice and dusty earth. The light-bodied palate has restrained, delicate fruit, a soft, approachable frame, juicy acidity and a fragrant finish. 885 cases were made.
Rose and violet-inflected dried black cherries introduce the 2021 En Gobelet. This is sweetly seductive within, with juicy acidity to balance and masses of rich red fruits that cascade over a core of saline minerals. It finishes perfumed while leaving the palate stained in primary concentration and fine-grained tannins. The future is very bright.
