Score 90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2013

(a blend of 42% merlot, 28% cabernet sauvignon, 15% cabernet franc, 8% petit verdot and 7% petite sirah): Medium dark red. Aromas and flavors of plum, milk chocolate and flowers show good intensity and life. Sweet and fine-grained in the mouth, offering lovely balance; not hugely complex or deep but offers attractive floral character and finishes with refined tannins. Les Behrens emphasizes that this wine is "not a moneymaker: it doesn't come from cheap fruit sources."
