The 2004 Farewell Cuvee reveals attractive graphite, forest floor, blue and black fruit aromas along with tremendous opulence and richness. I love the texture, expansiveness and multidimensional blue, black and red fruit flavors. This is another beauty from a winery that knows how to deliver fun, pleasure and exceptional quality. Consume it over the next 6-8 years. Tel. (707) 963-1774

(70% cabernet sauvignon, 18% cabernet franc, 10% merlot and 2% petit verdot; from To-Kalon and Dr. Crane fruit) Dark red-ruby. Brighter on the nose than the Left Blank, offering red berry, tobacco and licorice aromas plus some wild soil tones. Then dense and serious on the palate, more austere and backward than the Left Blank, with the structure to age. Redcurrant fruit is complicated by bitter chocolate and loam, and supported by underlying minerality.
