Tasting notes
A step up over the 2011, the 2012 Alesia Chardonnay Alder Springs Vineyard has similar lemon curd, green citrus, toasted bread and hints of minerality, yet is more focused, vibrant and pure on the palate, with nicely integrated acidity and a clean, crisp finish. Beautifully done and a joy to drink, enjoy it over the coming year or two.

The 2012 Chardonnay Alder Springs is a pretty, soft Chardonnay to drink now and over the next few years. Pear, spice, apricot and floral notes shape the open, inviting finish.
Green-tinged gold. Exotic mango, tangerine and gingerbread scents, with notes of anise and iodine. Quite extroverted by Rhys standards, offering intense tropical fruit and orange marmalade flavors and a touch of bitter pear skin. Firms up on the finish, which lingers with strong, smoky persistence.
