Good full deep ruby. Very ripe aromas of redcurrant, mocha and tobacco. Then broad and dry on the palate, with good spicy lift to the red fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins and torrefaction notes of chocolate and coffee. This lively and persistent wine offers a rather subtle Old World character.
