The 2022 Pinot Noir Yamhill Carlton is a spice box on the nose, bursting from the glass with a mix of cinnamon sugar, cloves, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco. It sweeps across the palate, lifted and grateful in feel, with bright red berry fruits elevated by sour citrus. Rosy inner florals form toward the close. This leaves a steely minerality while finishing fresh and long with a lingering, subtle, tart cranberry note.
