Score 92/100 · Drink 2006-2016, Robert Parker, Aug 2004

Structured, tannic, and mineral/scorched earth-dominated, the 2002 Syrah Stolpman Vineyard exhibits blackberry, cassis, acacia flower, black cherry liqueur, chocolate, and mocha characteristics. Full-bodied, with loads of richness, intensity, a stunning finish as well as some unresolved tannin, it should be at its finest between 2006-2016. One cannot say enough about the commitment to excellence exhibited year after year by Adam Tolmach. Tel. (805) 649-1674
