(tasted from barrel at the end of its malolactic fermentation): Good deep red-ruby. Sweet aromas of pungent black cherry, herbs, spices, pepper and flowers. Juicy and primary but a bit pinched today, showing a slightly green quality. Rather clenched at this stage, and a bit dry on the back end. In an awkward stage of its elevage, but I don't find full ripeness here.
