Score 95/100 · Drink 2015-2025, Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, Dec 2012

The 2010 Thirteen is gorgeous. A warm, resonant bouquet leads to expressive dark, red fruit in this beautifully layered, finessed wine. Raspberry jam, espresso, mocha, plums and licorice all burst from the glass. This is a fairly sumptuous, full-throttle 2010 that will drink well pretty much right out of the gate. The 2010 is distinguished for its exceptional balance and sheer class. Thirteen is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. Former hockey star Val Bure makes rich, bold Cabernets loaded with personality. Luc Morlet is behind the helm at Bure Family wines, one of my favorite Napa Valley properties for wines made in this style. Tel. (707) 363-7881, info@burefamilywines.com
