Score 96/100 · Drink 2019-2039, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2019
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Duration is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 15% Cabernet Franc that was fermented and aged in new 600-liter French oak. This deep, inky-colored effort offers an exotic bouquet of blueberries, black raspberries, spring flowers, forest floor and gravelly minerality. It's supple, sexy, incredibly polished, and elegant, with silky tannins and a great finish. Bure Family Wines was started in 2006 with the release of two wines, one a Bordeaux blend from To Kalon and Missouri Hopper, and the other a straight Cabernet Sauvignon from their estate vineyard, which sits next to Vineyard 29. The first few vintages were made by Luc Morlet, with Benoit Touquette taking over the winemaking in 2016.
