Score 93/100 · Drink 2016-2022, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2015

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Duration emerges from vineyards in Oakville and also includes a healthy amount of Cabernet Franc that adds lift and aromatic nuance. Radiant, sexy and powerful in the glass, the 2012 possesses terrific depth in its inky blue/purplish fruit. Firm veins of tannin give the 2012 an extra kick of energy on the finish, where the Franc really comes to life with typical floral and spice notes. The raciness and appeal of the vintage come through loud and clear.

The backward, inky/purple-hued 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Duration includes a dollop of Cabernet Franc. It offers up scents of asphalt, blueberry liqueur, camphor and graphite. This dense, full-bodied, opulent effort can be drunk now and over the next 15 years.
