Tasting notes
A more straight, focused, structured wine, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Element 28 comes from throughout the valley and offers ample dark fruit as well as mineral-laced notes of tobacco, earth, spice box, and chocolate. It’s balanced and medium to full-bodied, yet relatively reserved and tight on the palate. Potential is the name of the game here, so hide bottles for 4-5 years.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Element 28 has plenty of intensity, that much is clear - but it also comes across as a bit rough around the edges and coarse next to the other wines in the range. Perhaps time in bottle will help; we will see. For now, the Element 28 is dark, savory and a bit wild.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Element 28 is scented of ripe blackberries, boysenberries and black currant pastilles with touches of dried Provence herbs, lavender, cigars, tilled soil and fallen leaves plus a waft of dried sage. Medium-bodied, the palate is tightly wound and taut with great tension and firm, grainy tannins, finishing long and earthy.
Blueberries, currants and light spice with some hazelnut and almond aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, tight and cool palate. Creamy and delicious. Really fun, too. Drink now or hold.
