Tasting notes
(78% cabernet sauvignon, 20% merlot and 2% malbec) Red-ruby. Aromas of bitter cherry, leather and smoky, flinty minerality. Supple and sweet but a bit rustic, with red berry, menthol and game flavors and a rather plump texture. Finishes with slightly dusty tannins and an edge of acidity. A tad disjointed today.

A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 2% Malbec, the 2005 Cameron Proprietary Red Wine offers outstanding potential. Aromas of black raspberries, black cherries, cassis, wood, lead pencil shavings, and spice box are followed by a medium to full-bodied wine with silky tannin, superb purity, and a tight, but promising, long finish. Give it 1-2 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following 15+. Tel. (707) 539-7511; Fax (707) 539-3601
Deep red. Cherry and licorice aromas with gentle herb and mineral accents. Shows bitter cherry on the palate, with bright minerality and firm, youthful tannins. Wound up today but I like the clarity and focus. A bright red berry note clings nicely on the finish.
