The 2001 Pinot Noir 7 Mules is a delicious, up-front, fruity effort displaying plenty of cranberry, strawberry, and cherry fruit characteristics along with subtle oak, earth, and spice. (15.3% alcohol) Deep but less ruby color. Redder aromas of strawberry, cinnamon, cracked pepper and earth. Dense and meaty, with very sweet red berry flavors. Finishes supple and long, with plenty of ripe tannins and substantial structure. Seemed to close up in the glass.
