The 2007 Le Terrine is a 50/50 blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo. This is an evolved red wine with smoky territorial tones of licorice, tar and dried fruit. I would suggest a conservative drinking window because the wine appears to be at its peak right now. It appearance shows a fading garnet color and the tannins have integrated to the point of fine silkiness.

The 2007 Terrine, a Sangiovese/Canaiolo blend, shows good up-front richness, then loses some persistence on the mid-palate and finish. Unlike many of the estate's other wines, the 2007 Terrine lacks freshness and comes across as a bit overripe. It is the only wine in this range that is disappointing.
