Tasting notes
Glass-staining violet color. Sexy red and dark berry liqueur, cherry-cola, pipe tobacco, smoky oak and vanilla qualities on the powerfully scented nose, along with a suave floral topnote. Smooth, broad, alluringly sweet blackcurrant, cherry preserve and mocha flavors show outstanding depth and energy and an exotic spice note emerges with aeration. The spice and floral notes resonate on a strikingly long, seamless finish that features fine-grained, even tannins and densely packed dark fruit character.

Deep ruby-purple, the 2017 Ones Cabernet Sauvignon represents the best from each vintage, "a cherry-picking of the best barrels," says Eric Jensen. It has a layered nose: crème de cassis, cherry jam and blue fruit hints are accented by cigar wrapper, cedar, graphite and violets plus hints of Indian spices. It's full-bodied and explosive with spicy, ripe fruit layers in a velvety frame, lifted and fresh with a long, layered finish. This is gorgeous! Around 150 cases were made.
Another awesome wine, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Ones boasts a saturated purple color as well as a magical bouquet of crème de cassis, tobacco, scorched earth, graphite, and white flowers. Reminding me of a great vintage of Léoville Las Cases, it has incredible purity, tons of graphite, lead pencil, and violets, full body, and a huge finish.
