Score 93/100 · Drink 2014-2022, Robert Parker, Dec 2014

The 2013 Proprietary Red Weill Away Mixed Blacks comes from another cool site with all the grapes co-fermented together. Lush and heady, it is somewhat of an outlier since it is from some of the youngest vines Peterson deals with. Abundant notes of blueberries, black raspberries, licorice, truffles and Mediterranean roasted herbs give this wine a delicious, voluptuous texture as well as a full-bodied mouthfeel. Drink now-2022.
