2019 Vice Versa Cabernet Sauvignon Mysterons

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Mysterons is blend of single vineyards (mostly Ecotone Vineyard, with components from Beckstoffer To Kalon and the estate vineyard in Calistoga) that saw 18 months in new barrels. It’s another remarkable, borderline perfect wine with an incredible nose of both red and black fruits as well as new leather, incense, espresso, and floral nuances. It’s a full-bodied, rich mouthful of a wine on the palate, yet it’s amazingly graceful, light on its feet, and balanced. It shows more and more structure and tannins with time in the glass and will benefit from at least 4-5 years of bottle age, but if you can hold it that long, you have more willpower than I do.
