Sourced from the west side of the vineyard from vines planted in 2004, the 2013 Pinot Noir Shea was picked on 18 September and then matured for ten months using 25% new oak. It offers fragrant dark cherry, bergamot and cranberry scents on the nose that are neatly integrated with the oak, focused with good intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, slightly darker fruit than Winderlea's other 2013s with a gentle grip on the marine-tinged finish. This would be my pick from Winderlea this vintage.

Brilliant red. Fresh red berries, cherry pit, allspice and a hint of vanilla on the fragrant nose and palate. Convey very good energy and lift, thanks to a firm spine of juicy acidity. Pinot in a pure, energetic style, finishing with very good clarity and silky, slowly emerging tannins.
