Tasting notes
The 2021 Pinot Noir Earth is an understated beauty, slowly blossoming in the glass with rose petals and wild strawberries as coaxing brings about hints of clove, ginger and rosemary. Soft and round, built on purity, the 2021 flows easily across the palate, displaying medium-weight textures and a crisp red berry fruit core that slowly saturates toward the close. Hints of sour citrus combine with a bump of residual acidity to maintain a lively persona, as the 2021 finishes with fine-grained tannins and resonant hints of lavender.

Full bottle 1,358 g. 100% whole-cluster, ambient-yeast fermented. 10 months in French oak barrel. Unfined and unfiltered. 99 cases produced. Pale ruby in colour. Wet bark, dried tangerine, cherry juice, with a soft rustiness to the nose. Tense sapidity and denseness on the palate with fresh acidity. Lengthy finish. Would reward a few years more in bottle.
