Score 96/100 · Drink 2018-2033, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2015
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Weitz Vineyard is a super-classic eastern Oakville red endowed with layers of spice, dark plum, mocha, espresso, new leather and licorice. A flat-out, delicious wine, the Weitz will prove quite the temptress in its youth. The unctuous, generous finish is super-enticing today, but the 2013 will be even better in another few years. Today, though, the Weitz is a knockout.

Carter's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Weitz Vineyard jumps from the glass with an exotic mélange of aromas and flavors. Dark spices, new leather, orange peel and bluish fruit build to the expressive, beautifully layered finish.
