Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vine is a heady, exotic wine that captures all the richness of the vintage. White truffle, orange peel, lavender, sage and mint give the 2015 its distinctly exotic feel. There's a bit of edginess in the tannins that is typical of a year marked by an accelerated final phase of ripening. This is a gorgeous Cabernet that is starting to show the gentle patina of age. Suggestions of blackberry jam and espresso linger.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vine is wonderfully bright and lifted. Expressive floral notes and lively, red-toned fruit are two of the most distinctive signatures. Silky and gracious, as these wines are, the Old Vine is super-finessed in every away. Today, the Old Vine is just as impressive as it was last year.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Old Vine is deep, rich and powerful, with striking inner sweetness and overall intensity. Dark red and black stone fruit, menthol, licorice, tobacco and cedar infuse the creamy pliant finish. There is plenty of tannin lurking beneath, but the sheer voluptuousness of the fruit nearly covers them. This is an especially dark, virile Old Vine from David Arthur. Even with all of its intensity, the 2015 retains good freshness for the year.
