The 2013 Pinot Noir Pratt Vineyard is an attractive, mid-weight wine to drink now and over the next years. Sweet red cherry, cranberry, orange peel and game give the 2013 an element of exoticism that is impossible to miss. The Pratt is a bit wild, but also nicely balanced throughout.

The real emphasis at MacPhail from owner and winemaker James MacPhail are their Pinot Noirs. The 2013 Pinot Noir Pratt Vineyard comes from nine clones and the famous loamy, sandy soils known as Goldridge. Loads of cherry fruit, baking spices and herbs jump from the glass of this medium-bodied Pinot Noir that’s best drunk over the next 3-4 years.
