Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir Silver Eagle Vineyard is energetic, detailed and seamless this vintage. Medium-ruby, it's deeply scented of cranberry sauce and rhubarb, with touches of apricot, blood orange and licorice. Silky and fresh, the palate offers powerful, layered fruits that linger with fine detail in the mouth. This will age well in the cellar, but it's difficult to resist all that plush, youthful fruit.

More wild strawberry and raspberry fruits, as well as flowers and chalky minerality, emerge from the 2018 Pinot Noir Silver Eagle Vineyard, a more ethereal, perfumed Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. As with the appellation release, the balance is impeccable, and it has good acidity, notable structure, and one hell of a great finish. Give it a year or two as well.
The 2018 Pinot Noir Silver Eagle is elegant, nuanced and vibrant. Lavender, spice, menthol and licorice lead into a core of blue/purplish berry fruit. This supple, engaging Pinot is an absolute delight to taste. All the elements are so well balanced.
