Score 91/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Dec 2020

A delightfully balanced expression, the 2018 Syrah Stolen Horse was co-fermented with 4% Viognier and showcases soft, dusty purple flowers, a structured black-fruited core of blackberries, black raspberry and dark plum essence with classic tones of black pepper and savory aromas in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, the wine offers finesse and precision with balanced tannins and ends with a soft, dusty and spicy finish that lingers with persistence. The wine spent 17 months in 20% concrete and 80% French oak. Only 800 cases were made. Well done.
