Score 93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2012
Deep ruby. Heady, exotically perfumed bouquet combines raspberry compote, Asian spices, violet and a touch of incense. Fleshy and broad on entry, then tighter in the middle, offering lively black raspberry and cherry-cola flavors along with notes of candied rose and star anise. Shows excellent heft and energy on the finish, which clings with impressive spiciness and tenacity.
