2008 Red Car Pinot Noir The Aphorist Bartolomei Vineyard

Medium red. Cinnamon, orange peel and botanical herbs accent redcurrant and strawberry on the nose. Light-bodied but nicely concentrated red fruit and spice flavors are complemented by a palate-numbing note of cracked pepper and offer impressive clarity. The orange peel and strawberry notes repeat on the long, brisk, sneakily sweet finish. Shows very good finesse and surprising flavor impact.
