The only Zinfandel cuvée released from this estate, the 2016 Zinfandel Lemorel Estate comes from Occidental and is mostly from vines planted in 1946. Brought up in 24% new French oak, it has a vibrant, coastal feel as well as beautiful blue fruits, sandalwood, rose hips, and incense aromas and flavors. Medium bodied, supple, seamless, and incredibly pretty, with fine tannins and integrated acidity, it shines for its elegance and purity as well as length.

The 2016 Zinfandel Lemorel Estate offers a striking combination of intense perfume, structure and fruit. Deceptive in its mid-weight feel, the 2016 has quite a bit of depth and overall intensity that it holds well. All of the elements simply come together in an effortless, compelling wine from Radio-Coteau's Estate vineyard. The 2016 is every bit as gorgeous as it was from barrel.
The 2016 Zinfandel Lemorel Estate is wonderfully fresh and inviting. Rich and pliant on the palate, the 2016 remains light on its feet. Next to the 2016, the 2015 comes across as dark, powerful and brooding. Even so, the 2016 manages to stay light on its feet. I can't wait to taste it from bottle.
