Score 92/100 · Drink 2015-2024, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2014
An addition to the range, the 2012 Homeland packs a serious punch. Dark red and blue toned fruits, iron, smoke, licorice and cloves jump from the glass. Firm tannins from the Petit Verdot, Syrah and Petit lend an attractive element of underlying structure to the dark fruit in a powerful wine loaded with personality.

The dark ruby/purple-tinged, fruity, still primary 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Homeland tastes like a barrel sample. It reveals loads of fruit and luscious richness, it just tastes like a six-month-old wine rather than one that is nearly two years of age. I like it a lot, but I think it needs more time to sort itself out.
