Tasting notes
The 2019 Zinfandel Bedrock Vineyard is a decidedly powerful, brooding wine. Here the strong presence of mixed blacks in the field brings out dark tonalities of fruit, along with a host of iron, leather, tobacco, incense and peppery flavors that add complexity. Bedrock wines are never elegant, but readers will find plenty of the brawn that makes wines of this site so distinctive.

The 2019 Zinfandel Limerick Lane Vineyard emerges from a block of dry-farmed vines planted in 1910. In this vintage, the Limerick Lane comes across as a bit light and compact but that is the style of the year. It has all the tannin and build of this site, but not quite the mid palate to fill it all out. A whole range of floral and red-toned flavors lead into the powerful, savory finish.
