Tasting notes
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard was matured for 22 months in 100% new French oak. It has wonderfully pure aromas of red and black cherries, cigar box, clay and violet that unfurl dramatically as it airs in the glass. The palate is seamless and layered. Its spicy flavors are structured by powdery tannins and fireworks of fresh acidity, and it has a very long, mineral-laced finish. It’s a great candidate for the cellar. 175 cases were made.

Pouring an Inky purple hue, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard was raised in 100% new French oak for 22 months. It’s a bit more reserved on the nose, revealing loads of dark spice, blackcurrants, resinous herbs, dark, sappy earth, and licorice. The palate offers more tension and structure, with fresh acidity propelling it forward, with sweet tannins and a long finish. It is going to demand time in cool cellars but will age gracefully over the coming 15-20 years. Drink 2026-2046.
