Tasting notes
The 2019 On The White Keys Artists Reserve dazzles right out of the gate. Apricot, dried flowers, ginger and spice open first, but what truly impresses about the Reserve is its overall balance. Readers will find a sensual, layered Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon blend of real pedigree and personality. Arietta knocked it out of the park with this exceptional effort.

Checking in as a blend of 74% Sauvignon Blanc and 26% Semillon, the 2019 White Wine On The White Keys offers a Bordeaux Blanc-like bouquet of lemon curd, dried pineapple, crushed stone-like minerality, and white flowers. This carries to a medium-bodied, richer style of Sauvignon Blanc with good mid-palate concentration, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. It’s a rock-solid Bordeaux Blanc look-alike to drink over the coming 4-5 years or so.
The 2019 On The White Keys is bright, focused and full of energy. Lees stirring brings out textural richness, but the 2019 remains a wine built on energy more than anything else. Hints of tropical fruit, tangerine oil and apricot add layers of complexity. The 2019 has a bit more Sémillon than in the past, and that comes through nicely.
