Tasting notes
A blend of 76% Petit Verdot and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Petit Verdot V sports a deep purple/plum hue as well as an exotic nose of ripe plums, blueberries, scorched earth, leather, and dried herbs. Rich, full-bodied, and mouth-filling, it doesn't have the elegance or sophistication of the Cabernet yet certainly brings a wealth of fruit, extract, and tannin. Hide bottles for 7-8 years if you can and it should be long lived. 236 cases.

The 2019 Red Blend V is composed of 76% Petit Verdot and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple colored, it offers up notes of plum preserves, stewed black cherries, mulberries and damp soil with wafts of tar and tobacco. The medium to full-bodied palate has a rock-solid structure of firm, chewy tannins and bright acidity supporting the taut, muscular fruit, finishing long and savory. After a good 4-5 years in bottle, this should blossom beautifully and drink for a further 15 years+.
