Score 88/100 · Drink 2015-2023, Robert Parker, Jun 2015

It is hard to believe that Judd’s Hill has been making wine since the 1970s, the estate focused on the relatively small production of 3,000 or so cases of Cabernet Sauvignon. This is much to the credit of the Finkelstein family that has never ventured from their mission. The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, with plum, boysenberry and currant fruit, nice spice and earth, is a medium to full-bodied (14.5% alcohol), fleshy, very appealing and consumer-friendly Cabernet Sauvignon. It is well-made and best drunk over the next 7-8 years.
