Score 86-88/100 · Drink 1997-2009, Robert Parker, Jun 1997
This medium-bodied Cabernet displays an unmistakable minty, red/blackcurrant-scented nose, medium body, an elegant, restrained style, very good concentration, and fine length. It bears a striking resemblance to some of the Cabernet Sauvignons produced by Napa Valley's Johnson-Turnbull winery. This very good, possibly excellent Cabernet Sauvignon will age well for 10-12 years. (Tasted in barrel.) Tel. (707) 963-9093

Deep red. Expressive aromas of cassis, plum, orange zest, mint, tobacco, smoke and meat. Smooth and silky but a bit unforthcoming. Again, this gives the impression of modest ripeness and texture. Seems more than a year older than a barrel sample of this vintage tasted last spring.
