This 25-case bottling comes from the B, F and D blocks, hence its name. This micro-lot is made up of a blend of the three blocks that are used by TOR for Cabernet within the To Kalon vineyard. The B and D blocks were fermented together, while the F block was kept apart from anything else. After blending, this was put into a single new Darnajou barrel where it stayed until bottling, 19 months later. Deep garnet colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon BFD Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard is scented of espresso, earth, black soil, tobacco and fried herbs over core of baked plums and blackcurrant cordial with a wood smoke waft. The palate is full-bodied, very firm, very earthy and very long.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon B F D is a single barrel of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from To Kalon's B, F and D blocks. Dark, sumptuous and deep, the 2015 possesses notable depth and textural richness. Black cherry, plum, lavender, menthol and spice notes add to the wine's sumptuous, beguiling personality. More importantly, the B F D has quite a bit better balance than the straight Cabernet Sauvignon.
