Tasting notes
Good bright, full medium ruby. Deep, brooding aromas of redcurrant, smoke, leather, mocha and earth, complicated by a balsamic nuance. Savory, ripe and chewy, with terrific complexity and terroir character to its very ripe plum, licorice, spice and chocolate flavors. Really beautiful tannin management here, and extremely long and sophisticated on the finish. This beauty was bottled in magnums.

A decidedly more elegant, polished expression of To Kalon comes through in 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Clone 337. Fine, silky tannins provide support for an expressive core of black cherries, new leather, plums, cassis and spice box. With time in the glass the wine continues to flesh out, showing its radiant, voluptuous personality to the maximum. (Magnum)
Deep ruby. Real essence-of-cabernet aromas of black- and redcurrant, licorice, minerals and spices, lifted by a floral note. Lush, sweet and pliant, conveying outstanding density of texture and a powerful impression of extract. Great dark fruit concentration here. The ripely tannic, chocolatey finish goes on and on. There will be just six barrels of this elixir.
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Clone 337 blossoms on the palate with weightless fruit. It is a deceptively medium-bodied wine that nevertheless possesses gorgeous depth. Freshly cut roses, sweet spices and red berries are some of the notes that flow from this utterly impeccable, refined Cabernet Sauvignon. A final blast of fruit informs the dazzling finish. This is a flat-out great showing from Tor Kenward.
