Last of the Syrahs and from the Russian River Valley, the deep purple-colored 2018 Syrah Papa's Block offers lots of upfront fruit as well as texture, yet still has plenty of ripe tannins and structure. Blackberries, black cherries, peppery herbs, and some savory, meaty notes all emerge from the glass, and it’s beautifully balanced and medium to full-bodied, with plenty of length on the finish.

The 2018 Syrah Papa's Block is a powerful, virile wine. Inky dark fruit, licorice, graphite and a good bit of whole cluster savoriness give the Papa's Block much of its distinctive personality. The 2018 has so much of everything, starting with intense fruit and imposing tannic clout.
