Bright ruby colour with a super intensity of fresh red fruits. Pure and glossy fruit on the palate, with driven, fresh acidity. Good tension and floral character, with accents of spice adding to the complexity on the finish. (TP)

90% whole bunch but no greenness. Single-vineyard. Much more complex nose than the Pure bottling. Fine and savoury with much more mineral than fruit. Drive. Finesse. You could drink this already but it gives the impression it will become much more interesting. (JR)

The is another dense, resonant wine endowed with real pedigree and class. A rush of sweet red berry fruit, mint, savory herbs and flowers fills out the wine's frame effortlessly, with bright citrus and white pepper overtones that add life. The Memorious is perhaps not quite as vertical or complex as the other single-vineyard wines in the range, but in exchange it will drink well earlier. Here, too, the 100% whole clusters are very well integrated into the wine's fabric.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Memorious, from a 3.5-acre parcel that's typically the last to be harvested, offers up a lifted and perfumed nose of Griotte cherry, orange rind, cassis, currant leaf, raspberry and rose hip. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a rich chassis of supple tannins, lovely depth at the core, superb concentration and a long, lingering finish. A strong undercurrent of salinity always seems to distinguish this site, and that's unmistakably present in the 2016 rendition.
